Hi, I'm Juliet
Pilates instructor, PT, amateur endurance athlete, health & fitness writer
based in Blackheath, London SE3
As a woman in her mid-50s, I never expected to have so many adventures
To travel to compete in endurance events, to find myself through long solitary runs, cycles and swims
In 2008 I stepped into a Pilates studio and changed my life
- My body, and my attitude to what it could achieve were transformed - my posture, strength and flexibility all improved
- I found myself setting and achieving goals I'd always assumed were out of my reach, like running half and full marathons
- When practiced consistently, Pilates has the power to transform a broken body. Improving mobility, flexibility, core stability and strengthening essential smaller muscles.
- I began pilates teacher training in 2011, qualifying in mat, reformer and comprehensive studio equipment
- I now have a full pilates studio in my home including 2 reformers, trapeze table, chair, barrel, arc, Oov etc
I qualified as a personal trainer in 2019
- Weight training empowered my now robust body to tackle more extreme goals
- 6 Ironman triathlon finishes since turning 50
- Cycling 1000 miles Lands End to John O'Groats in 9 days
- Swimming the Croatian archipelago, cycling from the Channel to the Mediterranean, running and hiking adventures
- HYROX and DEKA fitness racing
I want to help others get the most from their bodies - using pilates, weight training, goal setting, Melt Method and stretching

Fully equipped pilates studio in Blackheath, London SE3
private pilates sessions using mix of all pilates apparatus
mat, two reformers, trapeze table, chair, ladder barrel, Oov, pilates arc
Duets, one-to-ones, small groups
Pilates, strength training, Melt, stretching
£60 per hour - weekdays daytime
Bootcamp style functional weight session on Blackheath
Fridays at 8am
strength training equipment including kettle bells, barbell, TRX, BOSU etc
Melt Method Workshops
Melt uses foam rollers and soft balls for gentle fascial release
